Some Personal Works

ENOUGH PONTIFICATING! The jury is back. MIDI files are terrible. Case closed. The Mozart-styled exercise below sounds heavenly on a real piano, but it sounds ridiculous on even high-end sound cards. The only use for MIDIs is that they are small and easily downloadable. They are good for "getting an idea" of how a piece goes. The other use for MIDI is to see what a string quartet might sound like when you do not have four musicians on hand, ready and armed with violins and such. As far as the mp3s go, I recorded them all on a $25 tape player and they sound horrible. If you are even slightly impressed by the music you hear on this page, then you would be blown away to hear it played live on real instruments.
